COATS® patented direct-drive system minimizes moving parts to improve speed, accuracy and dependability.

Wheels mount directly on a hardened, heavy-duty motor-shaft assembly. There are no pulleys to adjust, no belts to wear, break or slip, and no rubber dust.

Unlike some other systems, direct-drive rapidly brings the wheel up to speed, then takes measurements while the wheel is coasting. This provides an extremely fast cycle time, while avoiding electric motor "noise" that can interfere with the sensors and computer.

Due to COATS® advanced IBS 2000 internal software, the LCD monitor provides unsurpassed ease-of-use with easy to read instructions and graphics.

Now, with the modular IBS 2000 wheel balancer, the operator can perform all balancer functions and troubleshooting procedures with on-screen instruction. Features such as on-screen operator training assures that all technicians, regardless of experience level, can quickly and accurately balance any tire and rim combination. On screen operator training even provides step-by step instructions for less frequently used functions such as mount.

Other features include onscreen operator prompting and user help screens. The IBS 2000 virtually eliminates the need for manuals with simple step-by-step instructions for all balancer functions.
